About Ribbons & Roses

My name is Sue Scherer and I am a “ONE STROKE CERTIFIED INSTRUCTOR”. I earned my teaching certification in 2001 from Donna Dewberry. 

I have always loved drawing and painting and have taken many art classes throughout the years. I became more serious about painting after retiring from my full time position at AT&T and I finally had some spare time on my hands. I began taking classes in decorative painting and gathered as many techniques as I could. When I took my first “One Stroke” class, I was hooked. 

What is so great about this technique is that anyone can do it. My students really like the fact that they not only learn “One Stroke”, but they get to take home a finished project and they had a great time doing it.

Everything is supplied in my classes. All the student needs to bring is a smile and I will supply the brushes, paint, surface and any other items that are needed. 

In addition to painting classes there is also a gift shop. Here you will find many one of a kind items. There are also many ideas for party, baby & bridal showers and wedding favors, some starting at $1.50 each. All are welcome to come in and browse.
